About Us

The Kerry Bog Pony Co-Operative Society was formed in 2005. Our Society is a democratic body, which is owned and run by its members. An elected management committee carries out the running of the Society and it is a simple, friendly and open framework under which we operate.

We aim to be the competent authority for the promotion and preservation of the Kerry Bog Pony.

The Objectives of the Society are given in detail in the Rules of the Kerry Bog Pony Co-Operative Society and encompass the:

  • preservation of the Kerry Bog Pony breed,
  • sharing of the type and characteristics of the Kerry Bog Pony,
  • breeding of a sound and healthy pony, with a good temperament, suitable to its environment.
